A break between children's
books provided a bit of time to play and experiment. As my carving style
was growing quite fine and detailed, my goal was to carve some large slabs
of linoleum using only my large knifes. The resulting work is one of my
most personal series.
These pieces are simply
about feeling good and being content with the moment. Playfully recognizing
one’s true nature in that moment: bee nature, dragonfly nature, human
nature. The delight of doing the best you can with that moment of being,
whether hiking in an alpine meadow or washing dishes. Finding peace in
the moment.
Recognizing the moment as just that.
The state of being.
