Our book lover piles up a stack of books to the tipping point. The colorful books spilling through the air, and his hat, working as mobile parts. The sculpture, framed in banks of windows in the library entry, greets library patrons from across the parking lot, or might surprise them when they walk underneath. Engineered to span the width of the entry, the sculpture hangs with connections to the walls—a steel bolt extending from the figure’s wrist and a wall bracket shaped like his shoe’s shadow.

Sculpture is mounted about 11 feet overhead. View from below.

A vew from outside; The sculpture was designed to be framed by the floor to ceiling storefront windows.
